Position: Pr & communication specialist
Reporting to: Ceo & account directors
Direct reports: Graphic/web designers/Account executive
Overall job purpose: To manage, coordinate and supervise pr projects and to liaise with staff and clients and their representatives so as to provide full service to Brains Communication clients

Specific Job Duties

  • Be an ambassador and advocate for Brains Communication within the business community
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the agency’s philosophy and vision and ensure this is followed at all times
  • Create, own and maintain client relationships as well as proactively identify new opportunities to grow business
  • Formulate PR plans and strategies with the relevant account manager and our client
  • Write press releases, speeches and other content in English and Khmer
  • Manage media relations
  • Plan and supervise events, fairs, conferences etc.
  • Advise on project briefs, prepare clients’ presentations, coordinate corporate communication plans, and provide strategic PR recommendations
  • Create, maintain or grow a network of journalists and key opinion leaders and influencers in Cambodia
  • Identify necessary improvements to problems and ensure they are resolved
  • Work proactively to supervise budgets and ensure that accurate project financial records are maintained
  • Ensure that high standards of quality are met from the whole project team
  • Mentor and train junior team members and inspire them to perform exceptional client service



  • Minimum of 3 years experience in PR or communication OR
  • Minimum of 3 years in English-language business journalism
  • Excellent relationship-building and client-facing skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Good understanding of the Cambodian and international media landscape
  • Eye for detail
  • Full proficiency in English and Khmer reading, writing and speaking
