With more than 8 million subscribers across the country, in Cambodia, Smart is synonomous with telecommunications. But when the firm wanted to revamp their 2015 Smart Music app, the knew they needed help. Calling on Brains to create a new and unique brand, Pleng was born. Meaning “music” in Khmer, it was a natural choice which was enhanced by the simple and elegant design concept. Turning the “P” in Pleng into an earbud/musical note, the new design translates the app’s millions of songs into an instantly-recognizable symbol for music at your fingertips.
